Happy June

National Rose Month

The rose symbolizes

  • Love
  • Balance
  • Beauty
  • Devotion
  • Honor
  • Faith
We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses. Some people grumble that roses have thorns; I am grateful that thorns have roses.

The rose is the national flower of the United States.

The rose is the state flower of Georgia, Iowa, New York, North Dakota, and the District of Columbia.

Just like the rose holds her beauty among the thorns - we can gather our strength from the most unlikely places.

The colors

  • Red  – enduring passion, love, romance
  • Pink – admiration, appreciation, grace, gratitude, joy
  • White – humility, innocence, purity
  • Yellow – friendship, joy
  • Orange – desire, enthusiasm, passion
  • White lilac and purple – enchantment, love at first sight
The gentle rose offers a powerful joy known only to the heart.

The numbers and their romantic message

  • One rose – love at first sight
  • Two roses– shared and deep love
  • Three roses– I love you
  • Six roses– I want to be yours
  • Seven roses– I’m infatuated with you
  • Nine roses– eternal love
  • Ten roses– you’re perfect
One of the most tragic things I know about human natures that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today.

No bloom better signifies the beauty and sweetness of summer than that of the rose.

Dear Superwoman, remember that a rose does not stop looking beautiful, because of the thorns around it. So, never allow weaknesses to stop you from admiring your own strengths.
